Payouts, once you clear the threshold

The basics

The whole thing, in 30 seconds

You get a tracked link. Anyone who clicks it and subscribes to MilkySEO is credited to you, and you keep a share of what they pay — not once, but every billing cycle they stay. You never touch payments, invoices, or support. You share the link; we run the rest.

For example

You mention MilkySEO in a post about fixing crawl errors. A reader clicks through and subscribes to Ultra at $20 a month. From then on, $6 lands in your account every month they stay subscribed. Ten readers like that is $60 a month — arriving whether or not you write anything else.

Getting started

Four steps, about five minutes

Step 1

Apply

Give us your name, email, and where you plan to share. Applications are reviewed within 24 hours.

Step 2

Get your link

You'll get a tracked link that's yours alone. Anyone who clicks it is credited to you for the next 60 days.

Step 3

Put it where you already write

A blog post, a YouTube description, a newsletter, a Discord pin, your bio. Anywhere you'd naturally mention a tool.

Step 4

Get paid

Commission accrues automatically each time a referral is billed. Payouts run monthly once you're over the threshold.

Who it suits

If people already come to you for SEO advice, this works

There's no follower minimum. What matters is that you're talking to people who run websites — the tools do the convincing once they arrive.

SEO bloggers and newsletter writers

Tool roundups, how-to posts, and audit walkthroughs are the highest-intent traffic there is — the reader already has a problem and is looking for something to fix it.

Best placement: inside a tutorial that uses the tool, not a sidebar banner.

YouTubers and course creators

A screen recording of a real audit does more than any ad. Viewers watch you use the tool, then look for it in the description.

Best placement: pinned comment plus the first line of the description.

Freelancers and agencies

You already tell clients which tools to buy. If you're recommending them anyway, the recommendation may as well pay.

Best placement: your onboarding docs and client tool-stack handovers.

Community moderators

SEO Discords, Slack groups, subreddits, and WhatsApp groups are full of people asking which tool to use for one specific job.

Best placement: answering a question honestly, with the link as the answer.

Why it converts

You're recommending something people were already looking for

61 free tools do the selling

People don't have to trust your recommendation — they can run a tool the second they land, with no signup and no card. The product argues its own case before anyone is asked to pay.

The commission recurs

SEO isn't a one-off purchase. Referrals who stick around keep paying, and you keep earning from a link you shared once, months ago.

The assets are already written

Banners, screenshots, social copy, and outlines you can adapt. Nothing to design, nothing to write from scratch unless you want to.

Your dashboard

Every number, updated as it happens

No waiting on a monthly email to find out how you did.

  • Clicks on your link, by day, week, and month
  • How many of those clicks converted to paid subscriptions
  • Commission earned, pending and confirmed
  • Which plan each referral chose
  • Your payout history and next payment date
  • How far you are from the payout threshold

Questions

Affiliate FAQ

What is an affiliate program, exactly?

You share a tracked link. When someone uses it to subscribe to MilkySEO, you receive a share of what they pay. You're recommending a tool you'd have mentioned anyway, and getting a cut for it.

Does it cost anything to join?

No. Joining is free and stays free. There's nothing to buy and no minimum spend.

Who can apply?

Anyone with an audience, however small — bloggers, YouTubers, freelancers, agency owners, community moderators, or someone active in a few SEO groups. There's no follower minimum.

How much do I earn per referral?

30% of whatever they pay, every cycle. On Pro at $10/month that's $3 a month; on Ultra at $20 it's $6; on Enterprise at $50 it's $15.

What happens if my referral pays yearly?

You earn 30% of the annual payment when it's charged. A Pro annual plan at $72 pays $21.60, Ultra at $144 pays $43.20, and Enterprise at $360 pays $108 — then again at each renewal.

Is the commission one-off or recurring?

Recurring. You're paid every time your referral is billed, for as long as they stay subscribed. A referral who stays two years pays you for two years.

What does a 60-day cookie mean?

If someone clicks your link but doesn't subscribe straight away, you still get credited as long as they come back and subscribe within 60 days. They don't have to decide on the spot.

When and how do I get paid?

Earnings are totalled at the end of each month and paid within the first 5 working days of the following month, via PayPal.

Is there a minimum before I get paid?

Yes — $50 in accumulated commission. Anything below that rolls over to the next month rather than being lost.

Can I run ads to promote my link?

No. Google Ads, Meta Ads, Bing Ads, and any other paid traffic are not allowed, including bidding on MilkySEO brand terms or variations. Accounts sending paid traffic are suspended. Organic channels — posts, videos, newsletters, articles, word of mouth — are all fine.

Can I post my link on social media and in communities?

Yes. Social posts, forums, Discord, Reddit, WhatsApp groups, and newsletters are all fair game, as long as you're following each platform's own rules on self-promotion.

Can I refer myself or my own company?

No. Self-referrals and commission on your own subscription don't qualify, and they're straightforward for us to spot.

What if someone clicks on their phone and subscribes on a laptop?

Tracking follows the browser that clicked. If they switch to a device that never saw your link, the referral may not be attributed — which is one reason a link in a description or article beats a one-off message.

Can I see my numbers as they happen?

Yes. Clicks, conversions, commission, and payout timing are all in your dashboard in real time.
